I am often recruited into organisations to drive transformational change programmes. My experience has seen me commercialise and modernise institutions, build high performing leadership teams, merge existing services to drive efficacy and make difficult decisions that ensure immediate impact and long term success. My leadership at SSAFA saw income rise by 30%, and 42% at the RAF Benevolent Fund.
At the heart of my approach is effective staff management. I have deep knowledge of how to lead, but also how to listen.
This is underpinned with a strong understanding of the fundamentals of people strategy and policy. At RAF Halton, I led one of the UK’s largest training colleges, training up to 25,000 personnel a year. More strategically, as Assistant Chief of the Defence Staff (Personnel) I oversaw all military personnel and training policy.
